"Romanoff and Juliet" is a play and film by Peter Ustinov that satirizes the Cold War by loosely adapting Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The story centers on the son of the Russian ambassador and the daughter of the American ambassador falling in love, despite their countries' tensions. A key figure is the President of Concordia (played by Ustinov), who uses the couple's romance to maintain his country's neutrality.
